A temporary town that lives for only one week each year, where 60,000 people gather to build from scratch a place like nowhere else on earth, burn it as they leave, like a dust storm crossing the desert. 

In this euphoric dusty city, there are citizens of Blackrock City who are aged kids in their playground realm. A tall, burning man centers the dusty town and holds the key to your rusty map.

This town feels very different from anywhere else in the world because of the ten written principles that had been put into practice by the dusty burner community for over the past 20 years, and these are crucial elements missing from the matrix we are living on.

These practices are Radical Inclusion, Gifting, Decommodification, Radical Self-reliance, Radical Self-expression, Communal Effort, Civic Responsibility, Leaving No Trace,  Participation, and Immediacy.

Experiencing a Monday-to-Sunday living in a city with such a style would have such a profound effect on how you view the world that it might take a month to comprehend it all.
